Nashville Tornado: 6 Years Later.

Remembering the way the city showed up for itself.

Nashville Tornado 6 Years Later

Six years ago a tornado moved through our city in the early morning hours. It took homes. It took businesses. It took landmarks. It took lives.

What we'll never forget is what came next. Strangers showed up with chainsaws and water bottles. Restaurants fed volunteers. Neighbors stood with neighbors. The "I Believe in Nashville" shirts ended up raising more than $550,000 for local relief. That's the city we know.

We rebuilt. We leaned on each other. We came back stronger. And six years on, that part hasn't changed.

"That's the Nashville we know and love."
