St. Paddy's in Nashville isn't just one block. It's a citywide thing, with neighborhoods running their own version of the day. Here's where we'll be.
The classic pub crawl
If you want the full Irish-pub experience, start downtown. Fleet Street Pub, McNamara's, and The Dubliner all run extended green-beer hours, and most have live trad music sets booked through the day. Expect a wait at any of them after noon.
East Nashville's Stache Bash
The East Nash Stache Bash is the unofficial neighborhood version of the holiday. Mustaches, costumes, a parade route through Five Points, and most of the local bars participating. It's family-friendly during the day, decidedly not after dark.
Where to watch the parade
The downtown St. Paddy's Day Parade rolls through Lower Broadway in the early afternoon. Stake out a spot near the Ryman if you want a clear view, or grab a rooftop seat at Acme Feed & Seed if you'd rather watch from above.
Pace yourself
It's a long day. Eat something heavy early (we're partial to a hot chicken biscuit), drink water between rounds, and have a ride home figured out before you need it. If you've got a group, this is a perfect day to book the Sprinter.
See you out there.
