A good happy hour is worth planning the afternoon around. These are the twelve we keep going back to, with the days, the times and the deal at each one, plus when to go and what to order. None of them are on Lower Broadway, and half of them are in East Nashville.
Bastion
Two places in one: a loud, fun bar known for its nachos, and a small Michelin-starred tasting room behind it.
Happy hourMonday to Friday, 5 to 7 PM at the Big Bar: $8 daiquiris, tequila sodas, old fashioneds, mocktails, wine by the glass, and a beer and a shot (per The Infatuation).
- When to go
- Weeknights, 5 to 7. The Big Bar is walk-in every night, with nachos until 11 PM (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays).
- What to get
- The Big Bar nachos, a classic daiquiri or the punch of the day.
Lockeland Table
East Nashville's neighborhood kitchen, where the early-evening Community Hour helps fund the school down the street.
Happy hourMonday to Saturday, 4 to 6 PM, Community Hour: $7 drinks and snacks (the price per The Infatuation), and part of the proceeds goes to the Lockeland Design Center PTO.
- When to go
- Community Hour itself. It's closed on Sundays, and the restaurant strongly encourages reserving by phone.
- What to get
- Smoked bone marrow, the wedge salad with fried green tomatoes, or the $8 spinach artichoke dip. Everything you order arrives at once, so pace it with your server.
Coral Club
A tropical-themed bar on Gallatin Avenue that readers voted Nashville's best happy hour in 2025. You reach it through a candlelit passage on the second floor, and there's an open-air rooftop deck.
Happy hourEvery day, 4 to 7 PM: a $5 Tiny Tini (classic or dirty), $10 margaritas, mojitos and old fashioneds, an $8 Rose Paloma, $3 draft Pacifico and $6 black truffle popcorn (the deals per The Infatuation).
- When to go
- Happy hour. By 9 PM the lights are down so low it's hard to find the bathroom, says The Infatuation.
- What to get
- The $5 Tiny Tini with the black truffle popcorn.
Five Points Pizza
New York-style pies and slices in East Nashville's Five Points, plus shops in West Nashville and the Gulch.
Happy hourMonday to Friday, 2 to 6 PM: any slice and any draft for $8, or a cheese or pepperoni slice with a High Life or PBR for $5.
- When to go
- Weekday afternoons. There are no reservations, so put your name on the waitlist early when it's busy.
- What to get
- The slice of the day, or the habanero cream pie with bacon, red onion and basil. The outdoor slice window is quicker than the dining room; just don't carry window orders to the dining-room tables.
Cafe Roze
An all-day East Nashville cafe that handles breakfast, a weekday happy hour and dinner equally well.
Happy hourMonday to Friday, 4 to 6 PM, the Salt & Spirit Happy Hour: $9 martinis (Classic, Tuxedo No. 2, Martinez, 50/50, Vesper, Dirty), $7 prosecco or sparkling rosé, $8 sparkling lambrusco, $2 oysters, $5 crudités and $3 fries.
- When to go
- Weekdays, 4 to 6. The room is small and best for two or three people, not a big group (The Infatuation).
- What to get
- A $9 Vesper or dirty martini and a round of $2 oysters.
Folk
Philip Krajeck's wood-fired pizza, vegetables and natural wine on Meridian Street in McFerrin Park. Michelin recommends it and prices it as a special occasion, so the early hour is the best-value way in.
Happy hourEvery night, 5 to 6 PM, Apero Hour: a $4 New York slice, $4 pizza sticks, $4 pickles and $4 drafts; $10 spritzes, sherry tonics and martinis; $10 wine by the glass and $40 bottles.

- Apero Hour, 5 to 6, any night of the week.
- What to get
- A $4 New York slice with a vermouth spritz or a sherry tonic. Staying for dinner? The littleneck clam pie with bonito and lemon.
Most of these are over by 6, so leave work on time.

Half-price sushi every day at a tiny spot in the corner of the Sylvan Supply complex, and the Scene critics' best happy hour of 2025.
Happy hourEvery day, 3 to 6 PM: half-price sushi and $2.50 domestic beers, dine-in only.
- When to go
- Early. It's a very small room with limited seating, and it's closed on most major holidays.
- What to get

Happy hours change with the seasons. We checked these on Oct. 1, 2026, so check with the bar before you go. For the ones pouring right now, see happy hours today, and for the rest of our happy hour list, Eat & Drink.
