How we check events
Every listing is marked Verified or Unverified. Verified means a person checked the date, time and venue against the venue's own calendar. Nothing goes up automatically: a person reviews every event and every story before it appears. Plans change, so check with the venue before you go.
How we pick and rank places
Every place in Eat, Drink, Music Venues and Things to Do was checked: open, at that address, with hours from the venue. Each one gets four scores. Locals is what Nashvillians say, Visitors is what travelers love, Critics counts awards and the guides that test things, and Crowd rating blends Google and Yelp stars by how many people rated the place. Top picks weighs them together. Editor's picks are our own calls and say so.
How TN Trusted works
A business is listed only after we check it: state licensing where the work needs it, the BBB record, ratings, and complaint and court records. The check is free, and a business can't pay to get listed. Here's how to ask to be checked.
Partners, sponsors and commissions
Some businesses partner with us. Partners are labeled "Partner" wherever they appear, and guide entries about a partner end with "Partner of NashvilleTN." Sponsored spots are labeled and never lead a list. Some hotel, tour and reservation links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.
