About
Belle Meade Family Dentistry was started in 1978 by Dr. James R. Pace Sr., a Montgomery Bell Academy and University of Tennessee graduate who placed his first dental implant in 1980 and founded the Middle Tennessee Implant Study Club. Today he practices alongside his son, Dr. James R. Pace Jr., a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry who appears on the peer-nominated topDentists list in Nashville Lifestyles for 2025 and 2026. From the office on Kenner Avenue, the team handles cleanings and periodontal care, fillings and crowns, root canals, implants and implant dentures, plus veneers, whitening and clear aligners. Oral sedation and nitrous oxide are available, and the office uses digital X-rays, digital impressions and 3D CT scanning. The practice notes many long-term team members.
