When to go

Easiest ways in: Sunday 8 pm Writers' Night (cover about $5), the free Monday 6 pm Open Mic, or Blue Monday at 9 pm (20-30 walk-up seats). Shortcut: the Bluebird's 'Bluebird on 3rd' rounds run Mondays 12:30-2:30 pm at 3rd & Lindsley, Oct 5-Nov 30, 2026 (ticketed, with lunch).

Insider tip

Buy only at bluebirdcafe.com: resale tickets are invalid and the name must match your ID. Arrive before showtime (10-minute grace) or your seats go to the walk-up line. Small parties share tables, bar seats are 21+, there's a $15 food/drink minimum per seat (none at Open Mic), and the 'Shhh!' policy is enforced. Park in the gravel lot behind, not in neighbors' lots.

Heads up

Seats are scarce and weekend seats release only on the Monday of show week.
