When to go

A double-show Saturday, Opry Birthday weekend in early October, or Opry Country Christmas (select nights Nov 29-Dec 22, 2026). Add the post-show backstage tour (requires a show ticket).

Insider tip

The Opry House is out by Opry Mills, not downtown: pre-buy Opry House parking (evening shows) and allow for traffic. Seats are cushioned pews, there's no dress code, and kids under 4 get in free on a guardian's lap.

Heads up

Nashville Scene (Oct 2025): it regularly sells out, but the crowd skews heavily to visitors and many Nashvillians feel the show isn't aimed at them.
