When to go

Any night after 6 pm: successive rounds of 3-4 writers end in an open round; during Tin Pan South (late March) it is an official festival room.

Insider tip

It's inside the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt and bills itself as 'a very different version of Nashville music' from Lower Broad, with writers' nights dating to the early '80s.

Heads up
